Abstract
Objective To study the application guidance of GMs assessment for high risk infants in the maternal & child healthcare network to promote the abilities of early screening for developmental motor disorders such as cerebral palsy. Method The management guidance was formed after reviewing the experiences of using GMs assessment. Results The management guidance included the following four parts:establishing the network,dividing the responsibilities of involved organizations,training of staff and working guarantee measures.The clinical guidance included ten parts:working objectives,service users,time of GMs assessment,equipments,video recording,video assessment,results of GMs assessment,rechecking of difficult cases,referring to rehabilitation and follow-up,manning levels. Conclusion By setting-up the application guidance of GMs assessment,competence of healthcare for neurological development of high risk infants is promoted and early rehabilitation is available for motor disabilities such as infants with cerebral pasly.
