Study on neonatal screening in Xicheng district of Beijing.

Abstract
Objective To summarize recall of suspected patients from the neonatal screening for congenital hypothyroidism(CH) and phenylketonuria(PKU) in Xicheng district of Beijing,and to further improve the management quality of neonatal screening. Method The data of recall for neonatal screening in Xicheng District of Beijing during 2007 to 2011 was analyzed retrospectively. Results 43 264 newborns were tested and analyzed from 2007 to 2011.The average screening rate was 98.75%.The screening test of 406 cases were positive and 98.28% were recalled to take diagnostic test. Conclusion Adjust management methods and strengthen link management can improve the rate of screening and the recall and reduce the disability.
