Objective To analyze the developmental characteristics of five functional areas of 0~2 years old normal children in Taiyuan and to provided empirical evidence for early intervention. Methods From January 2016 to January 2017,totally 976 normal children aged 0~2 years asking for developmental quotient test in the maternal and child health care hospital of Taiyuan city were enrolled in this study,and completed the pediatric development scale test.According to gender,study subjects were divided into two groups,and differences between groups were analyzed by Independent-Samples t test. Results The development of children's social behavior showed "U" curve.The development of language energy area showed a gradual downward trend.Girls' comprehensive development adaptability and fine action were all higher than boys(all P<0.05 or <0.01). Conclusion It is necessary to further promote balanced development of language performance,to strengthen the fine motor skills training in boys,to train their initiative in the activities and to develop the ability to live independently.
