Objective To screen the refractive status of preschool children by using the steak retinoscopy in Huzhou urban,and to find early refractive abnormalities and intervene them as soon as possible. Methods From May to June 2015,a total of 8 329 preschool children from 48 kindergartens in Huzhou urban had been accepted the epidemiological investigation of refractive status.The ophthalmology department doctocrs from our hospital used the Suzhou 66 visual steak retinoscopy to screen the refractive status of preschool children.The children with abnormal refractive were accept cycloplegic diptoscopy test,which helped doctors to make a correct adiagnosis. Results By using the steak retinoscopy to screen the refractive status of 8 329 preschool children from 48 kindergartens in Huzhou urban,abnormal refractive 516 cases,strabismus 5 case,microphthalmus no light perception 1 case ,cataracta 2 cases,corneal nebula 1 case,coloboma iridis pupil displacement 2 cases were found. Conclusion It's a early,rapaid,convenient and effective method to find the refractive abnormalities by using the steak retinoscopy to screen,which is convenient for early intervention and correction.
