Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of 1,25-(OH)D3 and IgE in wheezing infants and young children. Methods Children with recurrent wheezing children had been randomly enrolled from September 2015 to March 2016 in our hospital.According to the asthma predictive index,they were divided into 2 groups:wheezing group Ⅰ with positive predictive index(n=29)and wheezing group Ⅱ with negative predictive index(n=23).The healthy children had been enrolled randomly as normal control group(n=23).The serum level of 1,25-(OH)D3 and the IgE was measured. Results The serum levels of 1,25-(OH)D3 in wheezing groups were lower than those of normal control group,the levels of 1,25-(OH)D3 in group Ⅰ were lower than the group Ⅱ,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);The level of IgE in wheezing groupⅠwas significantly higher than those in wheezing group Ⅱand the control group (P<0.05),while wheezing group Ⅱ group and the control group had no significant difference (P>0.05);There was remarkably negative correlation between vitamin D and IgE in group Ⅰ(r=-0.915,P<0.01). Conclusion The level of 1,25-(OH)D3 is significantly decline in recurrent wheezing children with atopic,and there is remarkably negative correlation between the serum levels of 1,25-(OH)D3 and IgE in wheeze children with atopic.
