Abstract

Intoeing gait is a common complaint in infants,toddlers and young children,which perplex all the parents and doctors.Intoeing gait can occur on an underlying anatomic or neuromuscular condition,but the majority cases of intoeing gait is idiopathic.Although most of the symptoms and abnormal gait were resolved as the child's development and maturation,but not all cases could be spontaneously correct,and may be secondary to more severe malformations.Treatment for intoeing gait is based on age,underlying cause,and the severity of anatomic or functional issues.To review the up-to-date literature on the causes,diagnosis,and treatment of idiopathic intoeing children,the parents and doctors can be more comprehensive understanding of intoeing gait,in order to select the appropriate treatment and time.
