Objective To study the correlation of interparental conflict and parental harsh discipline with parent-child attachment in school-age children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Methods The survey was made in 103 ADHD children (ADHD group) and 103 matched normal children (control group) by kerns security scale (KSS),Children's Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale (CPIC) and self-designed questionnaire of parental harsh discipline.The relationship between interparental conflict,parental harsh discipline and parent-child attachment in children with ADHD was analyzed. Results 1)The KSS scores of mother-child and father-child in ADHD group [(2.66±0.33),(2.68±0.46)] were statistically lower than those in control group [(2.97±0.32),(2.88±0.40)](all P<0.01).2)The CPIC scores of frequency,strength,solution,content and self-blame in ADHD group were statistically higher than those in control group (all P<0.01).3)The scores of mother scolding children were negatively correlated with the KSS scores of mother-child,and the scores of father scolding and spanking children were negatively correlated with the KSS scores of father-child in ADHD group (r=-0.240,-0.234,-0.276,P<0.05 or <0.01).4)Multiple linear regression analysis showed that mother scolding children was significant influential factor of mother-child attachment security (P<0.05),and CPIC frequency and solution were significant influential factors of father-child attachment security (P<0.05 or <0.01). Conclusion sThe poor parent-child attachment of ADHD Children is under the influence of interparental conflict and parental harsh discipline.To establish harmonious marriages of ADHD children's parents and reduce harsh parental discipline are conducive to the improvement of parent-child attachment of ADHD children.
