Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of core stability training on fine motor function of children with spastic cerebral palsy. Methods 80 cases were divided into two groups,40 cases in each group.All the patients received routine rehabilitation.The observation group received core stability training additionally.Their fine motor function were assessed with PDMS-2 before and after 3 months treatment. Results The scores of standard score for grasp,standard score for visual-motor integration and fine motor quotient in PDMS-2 all improved in both groups after treatment (P<0.05),and the observation group were more effective than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Core stability training can improve fine motor function of children with spastic cerebral palsy.
