Gratitude and perceived social support life satisfaction among left behind children.

Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship between gratitude,perceived social support and life satisfaction among left-behind children. Method Based on gratitude,resentment and appreciation test and perceived social support scale(PSSS),333 left-behind children were investigated.Results Gratitude and perceived social support were all significantly positively associated with life satisfaction among left-behind children (r₁=0.165,P＜0.01;r₂=0.260,P＜0.001);And the effect of gratitude on life satisfaction was totally mediated by perceived social support.Conclusion Gratitude is a powerful inhibited factor for left-home children's life satisfaction,and this protective effect occur,through perceived social support.
