Abstract

Objective To analyze the feasibility and the stability of general movements (GMs) videoed at home in preterm infants follow-up for neurodevelopment. Methods The parents were educated to realize the importance of follow-up for early screening and taught them how to obtain qualified GMs videos at home. The obtained videos were sent to GMs group via Internet. Then the researchers analyzed the videos through three aspects:quality, amount, and inter-rater reliability. Results Through relevant education and training, the quality of GMs videos videoed at home could be close to the standardization of clinical videos, and could be videoed sequentially and had a good inter-rater reliability. Conclusion The GMs videos videoed at home has the feature of feasibility. It can be used as the supplement of standard general movements assessment and be suitable to apply to less developed areas.
