Objective To explore the prevalence of behavioral problems among children aged 2~3 years old in Liuzhou city. Method A total of 2 208 children aged 2~3 years old in Liuzhou were surveyed by using the Achenbach Child Behavior Checklist for Ages 2～3 years old during June to August,2014. Results The prevalence of behavioral problems of children aged 2~3 years old in Liuzhou was 35.91%.The prevalence of 2 years old children (41.88%)was higher than that of 3 years old children (33.38%) (χ²=14.531,P＜0.05),but there was no statistical differences between boys(35.49%) and girls (36.39%),(χ²=0.195,P＞0.05).Aggressive behaviour had the highest prevalence rate in all behavioral problems; there was significant difference between 2 and 3 years old children (χ²=26.474,P＜0.05),but no significant difference was observed between boys and girls (χ²=0.140,P＞0.05). Conclusions The behavioral problems among children aged 2~3 years old in Liuzhou city are outstanding.Therefore,it is urgency to launch health education on child psychological and behavioral development to improve the attention of parents; furthermore,it is necessary to formulate targeted prevention measures about psychological health of children.
