Objective To examine the seasonality of congenital hypothyroidism (CH) incidence and it's correlation with ambient temperature in Anhui province. Method Retrospective study of CH disease in 2001~2012 to analyzed the correlation with temperature by using Spearman's correlation analysis. Results In the 690 cases of CH,it had 34.78% distribution in the warm season and the rest of 65.22% distribution in the cold season,CH incidence in cold season was higher than that in warm season.Consequently, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was a certain correlation between the monthly incidence rate and environmental temperature. In the meantime, correlation between male group were significantly higher than that of female patients. Conclusion The CH incidence has certain characteristics, which has relevant to the change of the temperature and the season.
