【Objective】 To investigate the clinical characteristics and prognosis of idiopathic interstitial pneumonias(IIPs) in children. 【Method】 A retrospective analysis was held on the pediatric patient' s clinical meterials of 12 cases diagnosed as IIP. 【Results】 The main symptoms were chronic cough,progressive dyspnea,high resolution computed tomography indicated ground-glass opacities,frosted, reticulate and honeycomb.Pulmonary function test was consistent with restrictive impairment and impaired gas exchange.Use of steroids,Methotrexate,Acetylcysteine Granules and oxygen was partially effective. 【Conclusion】 Steroid is the first choice for IIPs.Ground-glass opacities in radiology has a favorable reaction to glucocorticoid therapy and a better prognosis as compared to the honeycomb in radiology.
