Abstract

Developmental dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental disorder that impairs children's reading ability and imposes substantial challenges on both the affected individuals and their families.Research has shown that Chinese children with developmental dyslexia exhibit varying degrees of abnormalities in event-related potentials (ERP) at both linguistic and general cognitive levels.However, controversies remain regarding the core deficits, and the underlying neuropsychological mechanisms have yet to be fully elucidated.This review summarizes language and cognitive event-related potentials in Chinese children with developmental dyslexia, aiming to provide insights for future research directions.
